1.7 Million Workers Excluded from Auto-Enrolment

More than one million workers have been automatically enrolled on a workplace pension scheme since auto-enrolment was introduced in October 2012, however 1.7 million workers have so far missed out because of their age or low wages. Figures released by The Pensions Regulator (TPR) show that since the launch of automatic enrolment in October, 1,153 companies have placed 1.036 million employees onto pension plans. However, not all workers are allowed to take part.
