Wife, 65, arrested over plan to take husband to Dignitas clinic for assisted suicide

A pensioner has been arrested after police suspected she was planning to take her husband to Switzerland to commit assisted suicide.

Pensioner and girl, 15, injured in crashes across region

A man in his 80s was struck by a car along the Bridgnorth Road, in Wollaston, Stourbridge at around 2.50pm yesterday. Police closed off the road for more than two hours and the man was taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after suffering lower back pain, cuts and bruises.
