A survey by Executives Online confirms the increasing use of social media by both employers looking to hire and senior executives searching for jobs. The survey of 1,200 senior executives registered with Executives Online as either looking for a job, or looking to hire, found that: 93 per cent of respondents used the networking site Linkedin; up from 87 per cent in 2010 and 61 per cent in 2009.  Facebook came second at 50 per cent whilst the usage of Twitter for professional networking actually declined – to 7 per cent, down from 10 per cent in 2010.
