Almost All Employment Indicators Heading in the Right Direction @TAEN_UK

This was another good set of employment figures. The number of people in employment aged 16 and over increased by +250,000 to reach 30.09 million.  Over the past year it has risen by +485,000. The employment rate for those aged 16 - 64 rose by +0.4% to 72%, up 0.8% from a year earlier. The number of unemployed people fell by 99,000 to 2.39 million (7.4%), down by -0.3% from the previous three months and down0.5% on the previous year.
