Tonight is Text Santa, STV and ITV’s annual telethon to raise funds for good causes including, for the second year, Age Scotland and its partners in the Age network of charities. Here’s a taste of what’s in store.
STV’s Text Santa airs tonight at 8pm. To get you in the mood, have a peek at the celebrity Advent Calendar, featuring Team GB, One Direction and TOWIE among a galaxy of stars.
Coronation Street's cobbles have provided the platform for many a VIP visit in the show's 53 years. This time, they will be the stage for singer Cheryl Cole, in a sketch specially written to raise money for Text Santa's six chosen charities. Cheryl said: 'It's great to be able to support six wonderful charities and I really hope that this year's appeal makes a difference to many lives.' The Text Santa entertainment extravaganza will also feature an exclusive performance by Robbie Williams.
Ant and Dec will introduce the show at 8pm, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield take over hosting duties until a final hand over to Christine Bleakley and Paddy McGuinness at 10pm.
